This unique piece, featuring a bowl within a bowl is perfect for fruit such as cherries or olives. Given together with a jar of some of South Africa's excellent preserves, this makes a truly special gift. Each of these bowls is wheel thrown from stoneware clay and the hand-molded African angel lady figure is added with skill and care.

The bowl's angel wears her traditional headscarf in typical African fashion. “UMUNTU ngumuntu ngabantu” is a complex Nguni word that means “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.”  Or in English,  “I am what I am because of who we all are."
