Essentially prompting a collective examination of what art can be in a post-pandemic world.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eScott Eric Williams (1981) is a self-taught artist from Cape Town and a 2019 Andrew Mellon Award winning artist. He also studies and works in youth arts education. Williams uses diverse media, which range from sculpture with recycled materials and weaving to zines and wheat paste street art. Williams is moved to create empathetic work with an intention to proactively contribute to a multifaceted image of African identity. Williams’ work contemplates experiences of migration, land, hope, and trade within inner city contexts.
