These baskets are made by African Artists working with Indego Africa, who are known for their unique, handwoven plateau baskets. All baskets are hand-dyed using natural dyes and are hand-woven using natural fibers and sweetgrass. Because they are all handmade, no two baskets are exactly the same.
Based in Rwanda, Indego Africa has been celebrating and using their brand to promote women-run businesses in Africa. They take pride in preserving the tried and true hand-crafted practices that the artists use to create their works. By providing a platform for these artists to sell their work, they also provide vital educational and societal resources.
